Why DSS Sacked 65 Personnel - Vanguard News

Abuja— Details have emerged why about 65 personnel of the Department of State Services who were evicted from the service training school in Lagos were asked to leave the service.

A senior officer of the service who spoke with Vanguard in Abuja Sunday evening said the trainees were sent out because “their recruitment did not follow laid down procedures of choosing personnel into the service.”

On August 2014, a group of long-time contributors got together under the team name FSA E-Board with the goal to regroup and rebuild the Firefox Student Ambassadors Program. Community contributors banded together to help expand the program regionally under the names Regional Ambassador Leads.

Synagogue building collapse : T.B. Joshua holds memorial service

Exactly a year after 116 people died at the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua founder of church will today (Saturday) hold a memorial service in honour of the victims.
The building collapsed on September 12, 2014 in the Ikotun area of Lagos and 116 people, mostly South Africans, died inside the collapsed six-storey guest house owned by SCOAN.

Lagos Assembly set to end de-accreditation of LASU Law programme

 
The Lagos State House of Assembly Adhoc-Committee on Education has met with representatives of parents of Part one Law Students of the Lagos State University (LASU) and management of the school with a view to ending the de-accreditation of law programme of the school by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The committee, headed by Honourable Gbolahan Yishawu, met with the parents of the students and the management of the institution, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor John Obafunwa, during the week at the Lateef Jakande Hall in the assembly premises over a petition written to the Assembly by the parents.
