GLIBC: Mega bug may hit thousands of devices

According to BBC Tech reporter: Dave Lee. A major computer security vulnerability has been discovered - with experts cautiously warning it could potentially affect hundreds of thousands of devices, apps and services.
However, due to the nature of the bug, it is extremely difficult to know how serious the problem is.

Many people are running around right now trying to work out if this is truly catastrophic or whether we have dodged a bullet," said Prof Alan Woodward, a security expect from the University of Surrey.

Computer systems at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center have been offline for more than a week following a ransomware attack.

BlackBerry launches android phones in Nigeria

BlackBerry Limited has introduced into the Nigerian market BlackBerry PRIV secure , the first-ever BlackBerry smartphone powered by Android.


While PRIV will provide a choice in operating system to new and existing customers, the phone maker said that it remains committed to the BlackBerry 10 operating system, and will continue to release platform updates focused on security and privacy enhancements.
